Web Based Color Pickers (any platform)

These let you choose colors visually and they generate the hexadecimal representation. The color picker comes to your computer in a web page.


HTML Color Manager -- You can choose entire color schemes (background,text,links,visited links) for your web page. It sticks to web-safe colors. This is a Java Applet embedded in a web page.
Color Picker -- This is very similar in functionality to Color Manager above, but uses JavaScript.
ZZAP -- No I did not stutter! Chooses a single color, but from the whole RGB spectrum (17 million colors). This ia a Java Applet embedded in a web page.
WROX Color Chooser -- This lets you choose from among a list of named colors. This is done with JavaScript.

These are small stand-alone applications that you can download for free.


HUEY -- This is a nice color chooser that even has a web-safe option.
3-C -- Not quite as nice as HUEY, but it lets you grab any color off of your computer screen.

ColorFinder -- This is a nice simple color finder that lets you grab a color off your screen or generate hex colors in a variety of ways. Just click on the big square and get a variety of options, even a web-safe option.
Color Picker Pro -- This is similar to ColorFinder, but tries to do a bit too much.
